Brackish is a ongoing body of research, focused on the lives, histories and ecologies of three estuaries around the Essex and Suffolk border, the Rivers Stour, Orwell and Deben. Creating a new body of artwork using found and natural materials, highlighting the interdependence of human making and the natural world. The project focuses on estuaries as in-between places, water neither fresh nor salty but briny, a mix of ecologies, histories, people and politics, and an attempt to weave together these ideas.
